Spring Sports Represented on Honor Roll
The 2012 Northeast Conference Spring Academic Honor Roll featured 51 Central Connecticut student-athletes, including 13 members of the men's track and field program, the highest total from any of CCSU's seven spring sports.
Following the men's track team was the women's track and field program, which landed 12 student-athletes on the honor roll. Women's lacrosse had eight players selected, baseball and softball had five student-athletes each and the men's and women's golf teams each had four selections.
Student-athletes have to maintain a 3.20 grade point average over the semester of competition to be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll.
In addition, 10 Blue Devils maintained the 3.75 gpa to earn a place on the Commissioner's Honor Roll. Those student-athletes are:

Sara Larkin, Jr., W. Track & Field - Anthropology
Nicole Pizzoferrato, So., W. Golf - Accounting
Ashley Crawford, Jr., M. Golf - Marketing
Andrew Hill, So., M. Track & Field - Mathematics
Benjamin Lazarus, Sr., M. Track & Field - Criminology
Over the course of the 2011-12 academic year, a total of 2,264 NEC student-athletes landed a spot on the Academic Honor Roll. That figure represents more than half the NEC’s competitors. On the year, 560 student-athletes were named to the Commissioner’s Honor Roll, an all-time high for the conference.
