In November of 2002, Ziogas became the first and only former player or coach to have his uniform retired by the Post, which he played for from 1968-71. Ziogas played baseball and graduated from Springfield College. He is a member of the Bristol Hall of Fame and the Hartford Twilight League Hall of Fame. Ziogas resides in Bristol.
