Freshman Kevin Tiernan First to Finish for CCSU in Dartmouth Invitational

Kevin Tiernan was the first finisher for the CCSU men's cross country team at the Dartmouth Invitational. The freshman finished in 53rd place overall with a time of 28:03 on the eight kilometer course. The Blue Devils finished in 7th place overall and will next be hosting the Ted Owen Invitational on Saturday September 20.

Sophomore Robert Weston finished a half second behind Tiernan, while freshmen Jeremy Schmid, Dan Watson and Sam Alexander rounded out the top five finishers for the Blue Devils. Dartmouth won the meet with four runners in the top 10 overall. Big Green senior Glenn Randall won the race with a time of 26:00.

CCSU will be hosting the Ted Owen Invitational on September 20, which has a start time of 11:00 a.m. The Blue Devils will then be traveling to the University of Maine to compete in the Murray Keating Invitational on October 4.
