The Central Connecticut men's cross country team finished 32nd out of 47 teams at the New England Championships at Franklin Park in Boston, MA, on Saturday afternoon. Junior Ry Sanderson was the top finisher for the Blue Devils, recording a time of 25 minutes and 56 seconds to place 74th on the five mile course.
The Blue Devils recorded a score of 803 and finished right behind Bates and ahead of Merrimack. Other top finishers for CCSU were freshman Dan Watson with a time of 26:55, sophomore Robert Weston in 26:58, and freshmen Sam Alexander and Kevin Tiernan with times of 27:07 and 27:26, respectively.
UMass-Lowell won the team race with 79 total points. Ruben Sanca and Rex Radloff finished in second and third overall to pace the River Hawks. Tim Ritchie of Boston College won the individual race in a time of 24 minutes and 25 seconds.
