Central Connecticut junior Ry Sanderson was named Northeast Conference Athlete of the Week in men's cross country for the second time this season. Sanderson received the honor for his performance at the CCSU Mini Meet held this past weekend in New Britain.
The Bantam, CT native placed fifth out of 148 runners at the Sixth Annual event. Sanderson recorded a personal best time for a five kilometer course, timing in at 15 minutes and three seconds. He led the Blue Devils to a fifth place finish out of 14 teams in competition.
Sanderson's first appearance as NEC Athlete of the Week came during the first week of the season when he won the Blue Devil Invitational.
The Blue Devil men's cross country team will next be competing
in the Northeast Conference Championship Meet on Saturday November
