Men's Cross Country Takes Third at IC4A Championships
The Central Connecticut men's cross country team tied for third at the IC4A Championships on Saturday. The Blue Devils were led by a trio of runners finishing in the top-15. Sophomore Craig Hunt led the way with a second place finish over the 8K course at Van Cortland Park in the Bronx, NY.
Hunt finished second overall in the championship race finishing in 25:02.1. Senior Ry Sanderson followed six seconds behind Hunt, finishing fourth in 25:08.9. Junior Sam Alexander's time of 25:24.7 earned him a 13th place finish.
Junior Jeremy Schmid's 26:10.0 performance placed him 54th and sophomore John Krell's 26:24.0 placed hiim 76th and rounded out the scoring for the Blue Devils.
Duke University won the Championship race, followed by Duquesne. Central and Harvard tied for third scoring 147 points each.
