Here are some notes on the Blue Devils heading into Saturday's game:

Today • The Blue Devils (6-7, 0-2 NEC) look to rebound from a disappointing opening weekend of Northeast Conference play with a victory over Bryant.  The Bulldogs (4-8, 0-2 NEC) and Blue Devils both played at Robert Morris and Saint Francis U last weekend and are looking to earn their first NEC victory of the season.  Today's game is also the first of two women's basketball games to be televised on CPTV Sports.

Series History • The all-time Division I series between Bryant and Central Connecticut is currently even with both programs holding four victories.  The Blue Devils and Bulldogs split last season's meetings with the road team winning each game.  Last season, Bryant won at Detrick Gym, 68-62, and the Blue Devils won in Smithfield, 75-62.  Central swept the 2010-11 series, winning both games by eight points.  The 2009-10 series was a split with the home team winning each game and Bryant swept the 2008-09 series.  The largest margin of victory in this series came at Detrick Gym on 2/6/10 with the Blue Devils winning, 73-59, a 14-point margin of victory.

At Home in the NEC • Despite a 3-6 record at home in NEC games last season, the Blue Devils enter today looking for their third straight NEC home victory.  CCSU closed last season with wins over Mount St. Mary's and Wagner at Detrick Gym.

Steals • The Blue Devils rank first in the NEC in steals (159) and steals per game (12.23).  Senior Jaclyn Babe currently ranks fourth in the league in steals per game (3.23) and junior Jessica Babe sits sixth (2.54).

All-Around Game • Junior Jessica Babe is the only player in the NEC to rank among the top-10 players in rebounding, assists and steals.  Babe ranks ninth in rebounds per game (6.5), sixth in assists per game (4.08) and sixth in steals per game (2.54).  She is also 23rd in the conference in scoring with 9.1 points/game.

Shooting Percentage • The Blue Devils are the only team in the NEC with three players in the top-15 for shooting percentage.  Senior Kirsten Daamen is sixth (46.3%), senior Jaclyn Babe is 12th (43.2%) and junior Lauren Arbogast is 15th (41.7%).
