Lax Brings 7-Game Streak to LIU
The Central Connecticut women's lacrosse team will put its seven-game winning streak on the line this afternoon.
The Central Connecticut women's lacrosse team will travel to LIU Brooklyn today for a 12 p.m. Northeast Conference lacrosse contest. A victory by the Blue Devils would clinch the first NEC Tournament Berth in CCSU lacrosse history.
The Blue Devils (8-5, 6-0 NEC) can clinch a NEC Tournament berth with a victory today over the Blackbirds. CCSU, currently in first place, is one of two teams with a perfect record in NEC play entering today.
On Friday, the Blue Devils defeated Wagner College to record their eighth victory of the season and set a new program record for single-season wins. The victory also set a school record for NEC victories in a season, six. The Blue Devils can improve on both of those marks over the final three games this season.
Following today's game, CCSU will host Mount St. Mary's on Friday, April 19th, and Monmouth on Sunday, April 21st, to close the regular season.
