CCSU Hosts the Harmony Classic Kickoff Party on July 25th at The Russell
On Friday night, July 25th, Central Connecticut State University and the Connecticut State Conference of the NAACP hosted a kickoff party for the NAACP Harmony Classic football game to be played at Veterans Stadium in New Britain on September 20th. The event, held at The Russell in downtown Hartford, was attended by Hartford Mayor Eddie Perez and nearly 100 people who celebrated the upcoming game.

The game features CCSU and North Carolina Central, a historically
black university, and will include a performance by the NCCU
Marching Sound Machine, their nationally recognized marching
band. Coinciding with the 100th anniversary of the Connecticut
NAACP, the game will focus on diversity and the building of racial
harmony in our community.
