Dan Fanion Named Northeast Conference Golfer of the Week
Central Connecticut State University freshman Dan Fanion received his first Northeast Conference honor this week as he #$%^named NEC Golfer of the Week for his performance at the Macdonald Cup this weekend. Fanion, a native of Westfield, MA, led #$%^the Blue Devils to a fifth place finish while tying for sixth in the individual championship.
Central Connecticut State University freshman Dan Fanion received his first Northeast Conference honor this week as he named NEC Golfer of the Week for his performance at the Macdonald Cup this weekend. Fanion, a native of Westfield, MA, led the Blue Devils to a fifth place finish while tying for sixth in the individual championship.
Fanion shot a two under par 68 to open the tournament at The Course at Yale. He came back to even par after a two over 72 in second round play. Fanion finished the three-round tournament with a one over par 71 to finish the weekend at one over par 211 and tie for sixth place out of 75 players in competition.
Fanionled CCSU to a fifth place finish out of 15 teams, scoring a total of 860 for the tournament. Central will next compete at UConn on October 12 and 13.
