Caneen's Goal Leads Women's Soccer to 1-0 Win Over New Hampshire
Junior Rachel Caneen scored her first goal of the season as the Central Connecticut women's soccer team improved to 2-1-1 on the season with a 1-0 win over the University of New Hampshire on Sunday. The game was the second of the weekend for the Blue Devils at he TDBanknorth Classic at the University of Vermont.

Caneen took a feed from sophomore captain Clio Tregear at 12:43 of
the first half for the only goal of the game. Tregear fed Caneen
who beat the Wildcat goalkeeper from six yards out to give CCSU the
early one goal lead.
Senior keeper Erin Herd posted her second shutout of the season in
the victory, making four saves in the victory. Three of her saves
came in the first half. Herd is now 2-0-1 on the season in net.
As a team the Blue Devils have allowed just three goals through the
first four games of the season.
New Hampshire held a 9-8 advantage in shots. Each team had four
shots on goal in the contest.
Three Blue Devils were named to the All-Tournament Team following
the weekend's action. Lauren Salvia, Tregear and defender Karise
Hilt earned the honors for Central Connecticut.
