Amanda Kelley Tabbed Road Runner Sports NEC Rookie and Field Athlete of the Week

Freshman Amanda Kelley broke the school record in the shot put for the fourth time this season and was rewarded by being named the Road Runner Sports Northeast Conference Rookie and Field Athlete of the Week for the first time in her career. Kelley placed second in the event with a distance of 12.16 meters at the Rider/Lafayette Invitational on Friday. The Cumberland, RI native also took second in the weight throw, recording a personal best distance of 15.77 meters.

Kelley has continued to improve in her first collegiate season and is seeded in the top ten in both the weight throw and shot put at this weekend's NEC Indoor Track and Field Championships in Landover, MD.
