Ashley, Ban Named All-Tournament
Seniors Amalia Ashley and Veronika Ban were named All-Tournament at the Big Green Invitational.
Central Connecticut volleyball seniors Veronika Ban and Amalia Ashley were named to the All-Tournament Team at the Big Green Invitational hosted by Dartmouth. The duo played a large role in the Blue Devils winning three of four matches at the tournament.
The Blue Devils dropped their opening match to the host Big Green in three sets, but rallied to win three straight matches following that defeat. Taking contests from Grand Canyon, Providence and Manhattan.
Ban posted 46 kills and a .356 hitting percentage at the tournament. She also contributed 11 blocks, 8 digs and eight service aces.
Ashley posted 48 digs, including a 23 dig performance in the five set victory over Grand Canyon. She also had double-digit digs (13) against Manhattan.
