Jeff McInerney to be Honored Guest at the 26th Annual Franciscan Sports Banquet

Head football coach Jeff McInerney will be an honored guest at the 26th Annual Franciscan Sports Banquet on Wednesday, June 8, at the Aqua Turf Club in Plantsville, CT. McInerney and his team will be recognized for winning the Northeast Conference Championship for the past two seasons.

"I am honored that the Franciscan Life Center is going to recognize the accomplishments of our football teams in each of the last two seasons," McInerney said. "This is a wonderful event every year, and their organization does so much good in the community. We are happy to be a part of it."

The proceeds from the Sports Banquet help support the programs of the Franciscan Life Center and Franciscan Home Care and Hospice Care. These non-profit community-based services were founded by the Franciscan Sisters of the Eucharist. Programs include counseling, educational opportunities, community land-based services, home care and hospice care.

McInerney joins a host of prominent Connecticut sports figures who will be honored at the event. Robert Fiondella and Raymond Peach are the Honorary Chairmen, and the night will be hosted by Al and Tony Terzi.
