Tabellione Named NEC Rookie Of The Week

Cancellieri earns NEC Prime Performer

For the second time in as many races, Central Connecticut State rookie Lillian Tabellione was named the NEC Cross Country Rookie of the Week. Juliana Cancellieri earned NEC Prime Performer for the second time this season.

Tabellione was the top Blue Devil rookie at the 21^st Annual CCSU Ted Owen Invitational. She completed the 5K course at Stanley Quarter Park in a time of 18:53.00. That time was good for 35^th overall, out of 92 runners, and was 31^st amongst collegiate runners and fifth amongst rookies.

Cancellieri was the 12^th finisher in the field, running 17:53.90, to place 12^th.

CCSU returns to action on Friday, October 3rd when they travel to Lehigh University for the Paul Short Run.
