Central Connecticut senior Deborah Kim shot a team-best 83 in day one action at the Rutgers Women's Invitational. Kim shot 42-41 on the par 72, 6,074 yard Rutgers Golf Course. She is tied for 28th. As a team, the Blue Devils at in 14th place after posting a 344. Lehigh leads a tightly bunched top four with a 317. Final round play begins tomorrow at 9 a.m.
Lehigh junior Livia Amado is on top of the individual leaderboard with a 74. She and her Mountain Hawk teammates are one shot in front of Albany. Boston College (319) and Fairleigh Dickinson (320) are both within three shots.
CCSU junior Lucie Sarochova is one stroke behind Kim. Junior Natalie Jones (87), sophomore Chelsea Woods (90) and junior Lisa McCormick (108) completed the Blue Devil rounds.
