Reid and Bednar Lead Central at Sacred Heart Fall Classic
Central Connecticut State University placed seventh out of eight teams in competition at the Sacred Heart Fall Classic on Monday. Sunday's first round action got rained out so all 36 holes were played out today. The Blue Devils finished with a score of 725 in the two rounds at the Great River Golf Club in Milford, CT. Freshmen Katie Reid and Stephanie Bednar led CCSU, each carding a 178 to tie for 24th in the tournament.
St. John's won the tournament totaling a score of 642, while Hartford's Emily Linn won the individual championship with a 12 over par 156 (78-78). Senior Natalie Jones and junior Chelsea Woods rounded out the golfers for Central. Jones tied for 31st with a score of 184 (87-97), while Woods tied for 33rd carding a 185 (88-97).
The Blue Devils will next host the CCSU Fall Invitational on October 24 and 25.
