Barnum Named NEC Special Teams Player Of The Week
Tied school record with 50-yard field goal
Central Connecticut State junior football player Jack Barnum was named the Northeast Conference Special Teams Player of the Week on Monday. The kicker tied the school record with a 50-yard field goal in the season opener at Central Michigan.
Barnum, a native of Southington, CT, equaled Francis Cole's 2018 school record which was also on the road, at Lafayette. The 50-yard field goal is the 22nd in NEC history of 50 or more yards.
A graduate of Southington High School, Barnum tied the Blue Devils single-season record for field goals made with 13 a season ago. He also made a PAT on Thursday at CMU.
