Belle Lanpher Earns NEC/Atlantic Tomorrow's Office Women's Basketball Player of the Week Honors
Monday's Recognition Marks The Fourth Time In 2024-25 She Has Won The Award
For the fourth time this season, graduate student guard Belle Lanpher has been selected as the NEC/Atlantic Tomorrow's Office Women's Basketball Player of the Week for her outstanding play that took place in games from February 17-23, 2025.
Lanpher led the Blue Devils to a 2-0 week, as she averaged 27.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 3.0 steals per game.
Belle opened the week with a near triple-double in a 62-61 home win over Chicago State on Thursday, as she netted 19 points, dished off eight assists and added seven rebounds. She also had three steals versus the Cougars.
She closed the week with an impressive 35-point performance in an 84-68 road win on Saturday over Stonehill. Along with those 35 points against the Skyhawks, Lanpher added four rebounds, three assists and three steals for the winners.
Her 35 points on Saturday moved her into third place on the CCSU women's basketball all-time scoring list with 1426 career points.
Lanpher has now scored over 30 points in three games so far this season, as she is averaging 22.8 points per game this season.
Classmate Meghan Kenefick was also recognized this week by the NEC with her selection as a Prime Performer. Meghan averaged 13.0 points and 4.0 assists plus 2.5 rebounds in the two Central wins on the week.
The CCSU women's basketball squad returns to the court this Thursday at 6:00 p.m. when the Blue Devils close out a two-game road trip in Syracuse, New York against the LeMoyne College Dolphins.
