The Central Connecticut women's lacrosse team will open its 2012 home and Northeast Conference Slate on Sunday, 2/26, at 1 p.m. The Blue Devils (0-1) had originally been scheduled to host Bryant on Saturday, but the game has been pushed back a day because of Friday's snow storm.
Sunday will be the first NEC game of the season for both teams. Bryant (0-1) opened 2012 with a loss against Holy Cross and Central dropped its opener at Stony Brook.
The Blue Devils finished 2011 with a 7-9 record, which was one game behind Bryant's 8-8 record.
Sunday is also the second collegiate meeting of the Vendel sisters. Central junior Betsy Vendel led the NEC in points last season with 60. Her younger sister Lisa is a sophomore midfielder at Bryant.
As always, attendance is free for all CCSU women's lacrosse home games at Arute Field. Fans who can not make it to Arute Field can watch live on CCSUBlueDevils.tv.
