Women's Cross Country Finishes Fourth at Mini Meet

Women's Cross Country Finishes Fourth at Mini Meet

The Central Connecticut women's cross country team finished fourth at the CCSU Mini Meet today. The Blue Devils were led by senior Katherine Bossardet who finished fourth, and freshman Elizabeth Eberhardt who finished sixth. The 3K race was held at Stanley Park in New Britain.

The Blue Devils posted a team score of 86, with Bossardet clocking in at 10:23 and Eberhardt at 10:27. Junior Amanda Asaro (10:42) finished 18th for Central, and senior Nicole Coiteux (10:58) finished 26th. Freshman Chelsea Crooke (11:17) finished 32nd to finish off the scoring for the Blue Devils.

Krisztina Dearborn (11:30) finished 34th and Sarah Larkin (11:32) 36th to complete the top seven for the Central women.

The University of Connecticut earned the victory with a score of 50, the top seven for UConn all finished in the top-25 individuals.

The Blue Devils will host the Northeast Conference Championships next Saturday at Stanley Park. The women's 5K will begin at 11 a.m. with the men's 8K to follow at noon.
