Women's Cross Country Finishes Fifth at NEC Championships

The Central Connecticut women's cross country team finished fifth at the 2010 Northeast Conference Championship. The host Blue Devils were led by senior Katherine Bossardet and freshman Elizabeth Eberhardt who both earned All-NEC honors for their performances in the 5K race.

Bossardet finished 11th in a time of 18:18 while Eberhardt clocked in at 18:29 in 14th place. Bossardet and Eberhardt ran side by side, pushing each other for most of the race. Senior Nicole Coiteux was the third Blue Devil across the line finishing 25th in a time of 18:55. Amanda Asaro finished 36th with a time of 19:07 and freshman Chelsea Crooke rounded out the scoring for the Blue Devils with a 56th place finish and a time of 19:40.

All five scoring runners for the Blue Devils ran personal best times. Bossardet and Eberhardt received All-NEC recognition for finishing in the top-14.
