Eberhardt Earns NEC Rookie of the Week Award

Central Connecticut freshman Elizabeth Eberhardt earned her first Northeast Conference Rookie of the Week award following her performance at the CCSU Mini Meet. Eberhardt is the first women's cross country runner to earn NEC Acolades this season.

Eberhardt covered the 3K course at Stanley Park in 10:27 to earn her NEC honor. Eberhardt's time also earned her a sixth place finish at the meet. Along with senior Katherine Bossardet, who finished fourth, Eberhardt helped lead the Blue Devils to a fourth place team finish.

In addition to Eberhardt, two men's cross country runners received NEC honors this week. Freshman Andrew Hill earned Rookie of the Week honors while sophomore Craig Hunt was named Athlete of the Week.

The Blue Devils will return to action this Saturday when they host the Northeast Conference Championships at Stanley Park.
