Softball Falls at Boston College

Central Connecticut's Elizabeth Montemurro took the loss in the circle for the Blue Devils. Montemurro allowed only four hits while walking one and striking out two Eagles. Montemurro allowed no earned runs over her two innings of work for Central. Central Connecticut's only two hits came from the bat of Knowles who singled up the middle in the top of the first inning and finished with a double to left center field in the top of the fourth inning to end the game two for two from the plate.
Boston College began the scoring in the bottom of the second inning ending with the grand slam home run by senior Dani Weir to take the 5-0 lead in favor of the Eagles. Boston College added three runs in the top of the fourth inning to take the 8-0 lead and would end the game with eight runs on seven hits and no errors to defeat Central Connecticut who finished with no runs on two hits and two errors.
Central Connecticut will play again on the road Saturday, April 10 at 12:00 p.m. against Northeast Conference opponent Bryant for a doubleheader in Smithfield, RI.
