Marin's Javelin Silver Highlights Women's Track & Field On Saturday
Freshman took silver at the IC4A/ECAC Championship
The Central Connecticut State women's track and field team were in action at two events on Saturday. The Blue Devils competed at the IC4A/ECAC Championship and the Princeton Last Chance Meet.
Maya Marin took silver in the javelin at the IC4A/ECAC Championship. She threw a career-best 43.78m.
Taina DeJesus ran the 100m and 400m hurdles at the Princeton event. She finished eighth in the 100 hurdles, running 15.15 in the finals, .01 faster than her qualifying time. Later in the day she claimed sixth in the 500 hurdles, crossing the line at 1:04.89.
Mya Morabito ran the 1500m Saturday evening at Princeton, placing 16th in the event with a run of 4:33.70.
The Blue Devils complete their time at the IC4A/ECAC Championship on Sunday with Maya Marin and Payton Lowe throwing in the discus at 12:30 pm.
