Josephson and Men's Golf Sweep CCSU Fall Invitational at Wethersfield Country Club
shot a two-day total of 141 and the Central Connecticut men's
golf team completed a sweep of the CCSU Fall Invitational at
Wethersfield Country Club on Monday afternoon. The Blue Devils
shot a two-day total of 576, 19 shots better than second place
Sacred Heart University. Josephson beat out teammate Justin
Hughes (142) for his first collegiate medalist honor.
Josephson shot a 69 on the second day of the tournament on Monday
to post the low round of the Invitational, and one of just three
rounds under par during the two days. Hughes (70) and Blue Devil
teammate Daniel
Morgan (70) posted the other two. Morgan finished in a tie for
third place with Sacred Heart's David Renski with a two-day total
of 143.
The Blue Devils finished 19 shots ahead of SHU for the team title.
Sacred Heart shot a 595 and was the only other team under 600 for
the two days. American International (600), Army (605) and
Manhattan (606) rounded out the top five. Holy Cross (608), Laval
(610), Bryant (611), Hofstra (630) and St. Francis (NY) (686)
rounded out the field.

Pelletier (149) played as an individual for the Blue Devils and
finished in a tie for 11th place overall. Eric
Hawerchuk, Ash Crawford and Greg
Beloin all shot 151 for the Blue Devils to tie for 18th. Kevin
O'Connell (156, t30th) and Travis
Fifi (157, t37th) rounded out scores for Central.
