Kevin Josephson Named Northeast Conference Men's Golfer of the Week

Junior Kevin Josephson was named the Northeast Conference men's golfer of the week, it was announced on Wednesday. Josephson and the Blue Devils completed a sweep of the CCSU Fall Invitational this weekend at Wethersfield Country Club, winning the team and individual titles. The Blue Devils placed had the top three finishers in the event.

Josephson won the CCSU Blue Devil Invitational to pick up the first week's NEC Golfer of the Week award. He shot an opening round 72 and followed it up with a second round 69, to win the fall invitational wtih a total of 141. His strong performance along with teammates Justin Hughes and freshman Daniel Morgan, who finished second and third with scores of 142 and 143, helped lead the Blue Devils to a team victory.

Only three sub-par rounds were shot at the difficult Wethersfield Country Club Course, but all three were delivered by the host Blue Devils. The 69 by Josephson was the best round of the tournament.
