Redahan's Slam Lifts Baseball by Central Arkansas on Sunday
A seventh-inning grand slam from Aidan Redahan lifted the Central Connecticut baseball team to a 6-2 win at Central Arkansas on Sunday in Conway, AR. The homerun was Redahan's second of the season and he drove in five runs in the win.

KEY MOMENTS
- Central Arkansas opened the scoring in the home half of the second inning with a solo homerun by Owen Tracy.
- The teams would trade runs in the third inning. In the top of the inning Kyle Gordon drew a leadoff walk, followed by a single from Brady Short. After a sac bunt put the baserunners in scoring position, Redahan hit a fly out to centerfield to tie the score, 1-1. After working out of a bases loaded jam to end the CCSU threat, UCA regained the lead in the bottom of the inning on a Nathan Negre sac fly to make it 2-1.
- The teams would combine for just two hits over the ensuing three frames until Owen Arias led off the CCSU seventh with a single. A walk to Short and a single by Gianno Merlonghi would load the bases with one out for Redahan. He would clear the bases with a homer down the rightfield line to make it 5-2.
- Central added an insurance run in the eighth inning after Gordon would reach on a two-out single and steal second. Short would double to left to plate Gordon and make it 6-2.
- The CCSU bullpen allowed just one hit over the final three innings to lockdown the win.
NOTES
- Redahan finished the series with three hits, including a pair of longballs. He drove in six runs.
- Short had three of the Blue Devils' 10 hits on Sunday. He went 6-for-11 (.545) in the series.
- Bo Yaworski added a pair of hits, including a triple for CCSU.
- Alex Dreyfus started and went 4.0 innings for the Blue Devils. He was charged with two runs on one hit and struck out one.
- TJ Winn, Jr. earned the win. He tossed 3.0 shutout innings, allowing just one hit while striking out three batters.
- Wyatt Cameron tossed 2.0 shutout innings in his second appearance of the season. He struck out four and allowed just one hit.
- CCSU won the final two games of a series pitting the programs against each other for the first time.
