Baseball Takes Down Le Moyne in 7 Innings Friday
The Central Connecticut State baseball team closed the regular-season with a 12-0 win at Le Moyne on Friday in Syracuse, NY. Drew Munn tossed a complete-game shutout and Aidan Redahan hit two of three homeruns for the Blue Devils offense.

KEY MOMENTS
- Central scored in the first inning for the third time in series. Brady Short singled to lead off and he came around to score two batters later when Aidan Redahan homered over the right field wall. Bo Yaworski would extend the inning with a two-out single and he advanced after an error kept the inning alive and put two runners on base. Antonio Ducatelli would take advantage by hitting a homerun to straightaway centerfield that made it 5-0.
- The first two CCSU batters in the second inning reached on an error and a single. Following an out, Redahan punched the ball over the fence in left field for his second homerun of the afternoon to make it 8-0.
- The Blue Devils tacked on a run in the third inning when Kyle Gordon was hit by a pitch and moved to third base on a single by Falk. Gordon would come across on a sac fly by Short.
- Redahan and Chris Brown led off the fourth by reaching base and moved into scoring position following a passed ball. Yaworski would follow with a single to drive home a run to make it 10-0. CCSU plated another run on a double-play groundout to push the lead to 11.
- Gianno Merlonghi drew a one-out walk in the sixth and moved to third on a pair of wild pitches. Kyle Gordon would single to drive him in for a 12-0 lead.
NOTES
- Redahan went 4-for-4 with three runs and five RBIs. He hit .667 (8-12) in the series and hit four homeruns.
- Ducatelli drove in three runs and had two hits.
- Munn went the distance, allowing just two hits with five strikeouts. It was the first 7-inning shutout by a CCSU hurler since April 22, 2017 (Michael Delease vs. Bryant)
- The teams combined for 16 home runs in the series.
- The Blue Devils have scored 10+ runs in 21 games this season.
- Central has collected 10+ hits as a team in 33 games this season.
- The series between CCSU and Le Moyne was the first meetings between the programs.
