Redahan Earns ABCA/Rawlings All-Region Honors
Aidan Redahan of the Central Connecticut baseball team was named to the ABCA/Rawlings Division I All-Northeast Region Second Team it was announced on Monday. With his selection, Redahan becomes the seventh Blue Devil since 2010 to earn All-Region recognition.
The honor becomes the latest for Redahan, who was named NEC Player of the Year, and was selected to the Auburn Regional All-Tournament Team in the NCAA postseason. Redahan finished the season with a .455 batting average, which led the country. He is just the third player in the NCAA since 2011 to hit .450 or better in a season. He closed the campaign with an 11 game hitting streak and was the program's first NEC Player of the Year since Sean Allaire in 2010. In addition to leading the country in average, he averaged a national-best 1.90 hits per game, ranked eighth as toughest to strikeout (16.7), 10th in RBIs per game (1.44), 16th in on-base percentage (.511) and 18th in runs per game (1.29). The infielder led the Northeast Conference with 91 hits and had 32 multi-hit games during the season along with 21 multi-RBI games. Redahan finished his career with a .360 batting average, which ranks fifth all-time at CCSU.
The ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Div. I All-America teams will be announced on June 13 prior to the start of the 2025 NCAA College World Series in Omaha, Nebraska. First Team All-Region selections are eligible for All-America honors. The ABCA All-America team was first recognized in 1949 and now includes nine divisions: NCAA Divisions I, II and III, NAIA, NJCAA Divisions I, II and III, Pacific Association Division, and high school. ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove teams were first recognized in 2007.
