Women 6th After Day One at Sacred Heart

Junior Anna Ausanio shot a day one score of 82 and stands in a tie for eighth place overall at the Sacred Heart Fall Classic which began on Sunday.  The Central Connecticut women's golf team is in sixth place out of eight teams.

The tournament is being played at the Great River Golf Club in Milford, CT, and is a par-72.

Sophomore Stephanie Bednar shot an 86 and is tied for 15th place.  Sophomore Gina Grant stands in a tie for 25th place after shooting a 94. 

Junior Katie Reid (98) and freshman Albrianna Farnum (99) rounded out the scoring for the Blue Devils.

Sacred Heart leads the Classic, shooting a team score of 327.  Long Island is second (330), Monmouth third (336), followed by Boston University (350), Hartford (352), CCSU (360), Quinnipiac (386) and Holy Cross (388).

The final round of the tournament will take place on Monday morning.
