After Day One at Lonnie Barton, Central 4th

The Central Connecticut women's golf team concluded day one at the LIU Brooklyn Lonnie Barton Invitational standing in fourth place on the leaderboard.  As a team, Central penciled in a score of 340 and sits behind third place St. Francis (P.A.) (337).  Heavy wind conditions allowed only three golfers in the tournament to break 80 in the first round of stroke play.

Freshman Albrianna Farnum leads the Blue Devils shooting an 82 on day one, good for a fifth place tie.  Junior Stephanie Bednar is tied for ninth place after shooting an 83.

Juniors Anna Ausanio (87) and Katie Reid (88) stand in the middle of the pack tied for 20th and 23rd respectively.

Sophomore Gina Grant tallied a 95 and is currently tied for 38th.

The second and final day of the tournament will take place on Tuesday, March 6th.
