NEC Preseason Poll Tabs Central T-8th

The Central Connecticut women's golf team was voted to an eighth place tie with Mount St. Mary's in the Northeast Conference preseason poll.  The poll was announced on Friday.  Sacred Heart received the most first place votes with eight.  Fairleigh Dickinson was tabbed second with three first place votes.  St. Francis (P.A.), LIU Brooklyn, Robert Morris, Wagner, and Monmouth all made up the middle of the ranking.  St. Francis (N.Y.) and Quinnipiac rounded out the poll rankings.

Central Connecticut will also be under a new regime this spring as first-year coach Carly Ludwig takes the reins in New Britain. With no seniors on the roster, the junior duo of Anna Ausanio and Katie Reid will provide experience for the Blue Devils. Ausanio was the top finisher for CCSU at last year's NEC Tournament, as she took home a share of sixth (81-78-75 =234), while Reid booked solid scores this past fall.
