CCSU Women's XC Competes at New England Championships

The Central Connecticut women's cross country team finished 31st out of 45 teams in the New England Championships at Franklin Park in Boston, MA on Saturday afternoon. Sophomore Katherine Bossardet was the top finisher for the Blue Devils, placing 129th in a time of 19 minutes and 46 seconds on the five kilometer course.

CCSU finished with 823 total points, placing them right behind Fairfield and ahead of Wheaton. Other top runners for Central were Alyssa Cole with a time of 19:58, Megan Jaswell, in 20:05, Nicole Coiteux in 20:23, and Colleen Roarty in 20:44.

Boston College won the team race with 38 total points, placing five runners in the top 11. Andrea Walkonen of Boston University won the individual race with a time of 17 minutes and 19 seconds.

The Blue Devils will next be hosting the CCSU Mini Meet on Saturday October 25 at 10:45 a.m.
