Senior Kayla Aldridge singled in the fifth, and came around on the two-run shot by freshman Katelyn LaRussa.
Central Connecticut had runners on second and third with one out in the top of the sixth, but they couldn't plate the tying run. Junior Sara Budrick flied out to left, and sophomore Katherine Knowles made the third out after leaving third early on the tag-up. The Blue Devils went 1-2-3 in the seventh.
