Yepes Goal Earns Draw For Women's Soccer
Erica Schnable made four saves in net for CCSU in her first start
The Central Connecticut women's soccer team earned a 1-1 draw in a Thursday afternoon contest versus Manhattan University at Gaelic Park in Riverdale, NY. The two teams scored the goals within 4:19 of each other in the opening third of the second-half.
The Blue Devils are next in action on Sunday, when they host Dartmuth in the home opener. Game time at CCSU Soccer Field is set for 2:00 pm

- In a statisically even first-half the teams recorded three shots on goal, but neither could find the go-ahead tally
- Erica Schnable, making her first career start, stopped both shots she faced in the opening half
- Manhattan tallied the first goal of the game when an Amaya Hill corner kick was headed inside the post by Kaylee Stowell
- The Blue Devils answered quickly when Kiley Yepes controlled an attempted clear and lofted the ball to the cage, off of the Jaspers keeper and into the back of the net 74th minute
