Women's Soccer Ties Game Late at Stonehill on Sunday
The Central Connecticut women's soccer team scored with just over three minutes to play at Stonehill to earn a 2-2 tie in NEC action. The Blue Devils twice answered goals by the Skyhawks to salvage an important draw in league play.
The Blue Devils conclude the regular season with a tilt at Delaware State next Sunday.

KEY MOMENTS
- The Skyhawks opened the scoring with their first shot of the game at the 19:00 mark. Dani Lomuscio crossed a ball from the left side and Casey Rice was able to knock it away from the defender before kicking it into the back of the net to make it 1-0.
- CCSU would tie the game eight minutes later when Riley Powers took a corner kick and swung it in front of net where Emma Radoncic got to it to head in the goal to make it 1-1.
- Stonehill regained the lead midway through the second half. Lomuscio sent a corner kick into the area where Annie Renz, who had just entered the game, got to the ball in traffic and pushed it past the defense to make it 2-1.
- The Blue Devils would tie the game in the 87th minute. Julia dias de Souza started the buildup with a pass from the midfield to the wing. Kayla Ward crossed a low kick back to the center of the area, where Dias de Souza ran onto it unobstructed and kicked it in to tie the game.

- Radoncic tallied her team leading fourth goal of the season.
- Dias de Souza scored her first goal with the Blue Devils.
- CCSU was narrowly outshot, 13-12, overall but had a 7-6 edge in shots on goal.
- Melina Ford made four saves for CCSU.
- CCSU is 2-0-2 all-time against Stonehill.
