Men's Soccer to Host Clinic and Charity Game This Saturday

This Saturday, May 1, the Central Connecticut men's soccer team will be holding a skills clinic during the afternoon and playing against the Western Mass. Pioneers at 7:00 p.m. The exhibition game will be to benefit the Cameron Greenwood Fund.

At 9:00 a.m. head coach Shaun Green and the Blue Devils will head to Southington, CT where they will instruct the young soccer players of Southington on the fundamentals of the sport. The free clinic will teach the kids through skill sessions and mini games.

Central Connecticut will then return to campus for a 7:00 p.m. scrimmage against the Pioneers on Arute Field. All proceeds from the event are to benefit the Cameron Greenwood Fund. The charity is to help battle Ewing's Sarcoma, a rare bone cancer in young people.

Also on Saturday, CCSU seniors Eddie Floyd and Raphael Guimaraes will be participating in the New England Intercollegiate Soccer League Senior All-Star Game. The contest will be played at 2:00 p.m. at Clark University in Worcester, MA.
