Women's Track and Field Competes at Rider/Lafayette Invite
Freshman Amanda Kelley broke her own school record in the shot put to place second and recorded a personal best in the weight throw for another second place finish as the Central Connecticut women's track and field team competed at the Rider/Lafayetee Invitational at the Armory Track and Field Center in New York, NY. Kelley recorded a distance of 51 feet 9 inches in the weight throw and 39 feet 11.5 inches in the shot put.

Freshman Kate McGuire took fifth in the 500 meters with a time of 1:19.54. Her time is a personal best and also qualifies her for the New England Championships. Junior Kim Savino placed 11th in the 500 with a new personal best time of 1:21.63.
Sophomores Katherine Bossardet and Nicole Ciotuex placed
11th and 15th in the 3,000 meters. The recorded time of 10:44 and
10:55, respectively.
Freshman Amanda Asaro continues to climb up the conference
rankings with a new personal best in the 800 meters, crossing the
line in 2:22.80.
Fellow freshman Meghann Cocca recorded a life time best in the
200 meters with a time of 26.99 seconds.
The Blue Devils will now get ready for the Northeast Conference
Championships on February 21-22 in Landover, MD.
