After the final day of competition at the ECAC heptathlon, Central Connecticut freshman Christie Leverette placed sixth with 4,647 points. She placed third in the javelin portion of the heptathlon on Saturday with a distance of 36.33 meters. Earlier in the day Leverette took eighth in the long jump with a mark of 4.99 meters. For the final event of the competition she placed eighth in the 800 meters, crossing the line in 2:35.06.
On Friday Leverette won the shot put with a mark of 11.68
meters. The Dallas, GA native scored over 700 points in the 100
meter hurdles, high jump and 200 meter dash in day one action. She
finished the hurdles in 15.45 seconds and the 200 in 27.11
