Turner Named NEC Special Teams Player Of The Week
Ranks 14th in the nation in combined kickoff returns
Central Connecticut State graduate student Jadon Turner was named the NEC Special Teams Player of the Week on Monday, for his efforts on kickoff return in the Blue Devils homecoming game versus Dartmouth. Brady Olson and Jack Stoll were named NEC Prime Performers
Turner, a native of Rochester, NY, averaged 32.0 yards per kickoff returned five kicks on Saturday, for 160 yards. He had a long return of 38 yards in the game.
Through five weeks Turner is average 28.0 yards per kickoff return, that number ranks him 19th in the nation and second in the NEC. He leads the NEC with 280 combined kick return yards, a number that is good for 14th in the nation.
Stoll recorded a career-best 12 tackles in the game, with 2.5 tackles for loss. Olson threw for three touchdowns on Saturday, completing 76 percent of his passes (25-33) for 223 passing yards.
