Stoll Named NEC Defensive Player Of The Week
Stoll had a career-high 12 tackles and his first career blocked field goal in win over LIU
Jack Stoll picked the right time for his first career blocked field goal on Saturday, and it played a role in him earning NEC Defensive Player of the Week accolades.
With three seconds remaining in the game and CCSU leading 10-7, LIU lined up for an 18-yard field goal attempt. Stoll was able to get a hand on the ball and block it, preserving the victory and the Blue Devils undefeated record in NEC play.
Stoll was the Blue Devils defensive leader with a dozen tackles, equaling a career-high from earlier this season. Eight of his tackles were solo stops. Stoll also equaled a career-high with 2.5 tackles for loss on Saturday.
