Sophomore Greg Beloin shot a two under par 69 during the first round of play at the Dartmouth Invitational as the Central Connecticut State University men's golf team finished tied for first after day one of competition on Saturday. The Blue Devils shot 11 over par (295) as a team and are tied with Yale University for the lead in the 13 team tournament.
Junior Eric Hawerchuk carded the second lowest score for CCSU in round one, scoring a two over par 73 to put him in a tie for ninth. Kevin Josephson is two strokes back of Hawerchuk. He finished day one with a 75 and is tied for 19th. Sam Pelletier rounded out the Blue Devils' top finishers on Saturday. He is tied for 36th with a score of 78. Central will continue play on Sunday.
