OPENING NOTES
• Central Connecticut enters the final stretch of non-conference play with a pair of road games before hosting Fairfield on Dec. 18. Central plays back-to-back road games beginning Sunday at Northeastern
• Patrick Sellers is in his 5th season leading his alma mater. He has led CCSU to back-to-back NEC regular season crowns, along with, consecutive 20-win seasons for the first time in the program's Division I history.

• Through 8 games, CCSU is committing 12.1 fouls per game, which ranks 1st nationally. Last season, CCSU committed 11.3 fouls per game, setting an NEC mark and ranking 2nd nationally,
• The Blue Devils ranked 2nd for the most road wins (12) in the country last season (UC Irvine, 14), and had won 9 straight road games prior to their loss at Quinnipiac on Nov. 6.
• Central has posted 20+ wins in consecutive seasons for the first time in its Division I history. The Blue Devils last accomplished the feat in 1982-83 (21-9) and 1983-84 (26-6).
• When scoring 70+ points under Patrick Sellers, CCSU is 46-13 (.780) overall. Central is 26-1 in such games dating back to Jan. 19, 2024.
• Since 2021-22, CCSU has won 8 straight 1-point games (Jan. 21, 2022, 67-68 loss at SFU).

Darin Smith, Jr. was recognized as a USBWA Oscar Robertson Trophy Player of the Week and named NEC co-Player of the Week after he averaged 31.0 ppg, 6.5 rpg and 3.5 apg for the week ending Nov. 30.
• He scored a career-high 38 points in a win over Sacred Heart - the most points by a Blue Devil since Feb. 14, 2013 (Kyle Vinales, 42).

Ashton Reynolds was named NEC Rookie of the Week on Dec. 1. He shot 71.4% from the field and had 13 points in 14 minutes against Johnson & Wales.

Max Frazier is averaging 12.1 ppg and 7.5 rpg, while shooting 41-of-67 (.612) from the field in 23.6 minutes.
• Frazier has a team-high 17 dunks on the year and is shooting 57.1% on field goals in the paint.
• Frazier hit 7-of-7 from the field in the opener, and went 9-of-11 for 24 points vs. Sacred Heart, including game-winning dunk in overtime.

James Jones posted his first career double-double with a career-high 12 points with 13 rebounds at Seton Hall.
• Jones shot 4-of-8 from the field, including 2-of-3 from 3-point range.
• His all-around game posts 5.6 ppg, 7.8 rpg, 1.6 apg, 0.9 bpg, 0.6 spg.
