Five Wins For Men's Track & Field Friday

The Central Connecticut men's track and field team were in action on Friday at the TCNJ Lions Invitational. The competition was held at the 186th Street Armory. 

The Blue Devils captured the top spot in five events during the meet on Friday.

• Tristan Burke won the 60m dash in a season-best time of 6.90 

• Aidan Budge captured the top spot in the 800m, with the 53rd fastest Division I time this season, stopping the clock at 1:56.53 

• Greyson Golda took the top spot in the shot put with a throw of 16.50m, and teammate Tristan Smith was second with a 15.74m effort 

• Budge also won the mile by more than six seconds, stopping the clock at 4:16.67 

• The Blue Devils 4x400m relay took the top spot with KyMoy Phillip (49.65), Jayden Brown (50.17), Maxwell Czarnecki (51.13) and Lucas Figueiredo (48.48) combining to run a time of 3:19.33, which is 47th in the NCAA this season 

• Greyson Golda threw the weight 16.67m to take second in the event, while Angelo Pisacreta's 15.85m effort is a PR and good for third place 

• Phillip claimed fourth place in the 500m, running a PR of 1:05.64 

• Ivan Timochko ran 1:58.62 in the 800m, good for fourth and ranks 84th in the NCAA, while Tyler Safstrom was eight in a time of 2:01.68 

• Alexander Figueiredo posted a PR jump of 6.80m to claim fourth in the long jump 

• Mark Rodriguez ran to a fifth-place finish in the 3000m, crossing the line in 8:39.84 

• Kenny Agwu captured sixth in the 60m hurdles with a run of 8.58 after posting a season-best 8.56 in qualifying 

• The Blue Devils 4x400 B relay placed sixth as Julieen Lopez, Cory Bates II, Timochko and Caleb Harris combined to run 3:30.02 

• Alexander Figueiredo crossed the line at 35.15 in the 300m to earn sixth place 

• Tristian Toussaint also ran in the 60m hurdles final, placing seventh in a time of 8.72 

• Harris posted the seventh fastest time in the 400m, running 51.58
