Figueiredo, Golda School Records Highlights Men's Track & Field Saturday
Lucas Figueiredo and Greyson Golda each broke program records at the John Thomas Terrier Classic
The Central Connecticut men's track and field team was in Boston on Saturday, competing at the John Thomas Terrier Classic.
Lucas Figueiredo broke his own school record (48.16) in the 400m dash, with a time of 47.89, lowering his own mark, while his brother Alex Figueiredo won the high-jump with a 2.03m effort, leading three Blue Devils in the top-six.
Greyson Golda broke the school's weight throw mark that had stood since 1978 with a winning mark of 19.04m.

Brown was seventh in the open 400m, with his run of 49.15, and Caleb Harris posted a 50.34 time

Kenny Agwu ran 8.64 to place 13th in the prelims of the 60m hurdles invite field

Aiden Budge was the 13th finishers in the 800m, stopping the clock at 1:52.11

Tristan Burke stopped the clock at 22.29 in the 200m, tying for 28th, while Harris and Jordan Jackson finished with identical 22.84 times

Thomas Flanders IV was the fastest Blue Devil in the 1000m, finishing in 2:31.52

James Sullivan clocked the squads top time in the mile, 4:211.21, placing 65th in the field of 258 entrants
FIELD HIGHLIGHTS
- Greyson Golda capped off his day by winning the weight throw with a mark of 19.04m. He broke the school mark of 18.54m set by Brad Olson in 1978. Angelo Pisacreta placed 15th with a mark of 15.78m and Tristan Smith (14.69m) was 21st in the field of 32.

Alex Figueiredo won the high jump reaching a height of 2.03m, just missing a record by .07m. Rashann Rankins (1.95m) and Thomas Hooks (1.95m) earned fifth and sixth place, respectively.

Alex Figueiredo earned a top-five finish in the long jump with a top mark of 6.77m, just missing a personal college-best.

Central had a pair of top-six placers in the shot put field with 29 competitors. Greyson Golda placed third with a best mark of 16.48m, while Tristan Smith placed sixth at 15.68m. Quincy Davis (13.71m) and Angelo Pisacreta (12.72m) also competed.
