Budge, Rodriguez Win Events at New England Championships
The Central Connecticut State men's track and field team had a pair of gold medalists and a silver medal finish on the opening day of the New England Championships on Friday.
Aidan Budge won the 5,000m, while Mark Rodriguez won the 10,000m and Grayson Golda took silver in the hammer throw.

TRACK HIGHLIGHTS
- Aidan Budge led the CCSU runners in the 5,000m winning in 14:54.15. Connor Garrett placed fourth in 15:11.69, while Michael Kraszewski (15:51.52) and Andrew Hedges (15:56.83) also ran.
- Rodriguez won the 10,000m with a run of 31:11.60, while Caleb Cerra turned in a time of 34:27.76
FIELD HIGHLIGHTS
- Greyson Golda earned silver in the hammer throw with a best mark of 57.0m, just 0.27m off the gold medal mark. Angelo Pisacreta set a personal-best and placed sixth with a throw of 53.79m. Brayden Johnson had a best mark of 50.17m
