Inthasit, Sullivan Named NEC Winter Scholar Athletes
The Blue Devils took home the honor for indoor track & field
The Central Connecticut State track and field teams swept the 2026 NEC Indoor Track and Field Scholar Athlete honors. James Sullivan was named the men's winner, while Nuchwara Inthasit is the women's honoree.
The NEC also announced the 2025 Fall NEC Fall Academic (3.2 GPA) and Commissioner (3.75 GPA) Honor Rolls. Across the five winter sports: swimming and diving, men's basketball, women's basketball, men's indoor track and field and women's indoor track and field, the Blue Devils had 108 student-athletes named to the Academic Honor Roll, with 40 earning Commissioner's Honor Roll.
Inthasit, a native of Stonington, CT, led the Blue Devils to the team championship as she earned Most Outstanding Performer – Sprints, at the NEC Indoor Championship. She captured gold in the 60m dash and was a member of the championship winning 4x400 relay. Inthasit also placed fourth in the 200m dash.
Sullivan, a native of Redding, CT was named the Most Valuable Performer and Most Outstanding Performer – Distance, in leading the Blue Devil men to a repeat of the indoor championship. He won the 3000m and 5000m races during the championship weekend.
