Women's Basketball Falls At Providence
Kiyah Lewis scored 10 and Lucia Noin had 10 rebounds
The Central Connecticut women's basketball team played its second consecutive Monday night game in Rhode Island, falling 65-40 to host Providence College.
Kiyah Lewis was the Blue Devils leading scorer with 10 points on the day, knocking down a pair of three pointers in the effort. Lucia Noin finished with 10 rebounds on the night to lead the team.

- Providence scored the first four points of the game in 64 seconds, before the Blue Devils scored five consecutive points to take the lead just shy of 4:00 into the game.
- The Blue Devils run would extend to 11-3 on a Kiyah Lewis basket with 2:32 to play in the first quarter for an 11-7 advantage.
- Providence scored the final eight points of the first quarter to open a 15-11 lead
- Jessica Farrell opened the second quarter, scoring to bring CCSU within two points, 15-13 in the opening minute of the period. The Friars scored the next five points and went on an 11-2 run over the next five minutes to build a 26-14 advantage.

- Providence pushed the lead to 16, on a pair of Teneisia Brown free throws with 7:35 to play in the period. Lucia Noin started a 6-0 Blue Devil charge with a turnaround jumper on the next possession as Central closed to 37-27 with 6:19 to play in the quarter, but the Friars scored the next 11 points, taking a 48-27 lead with 2:18 to play.
- Kayla Henry made three free throws in final minute of the third quarter, and the Blue Devils scored six of the first 10 points of the final stanza to claw back with 52-36, but would get no closer

- For the second game in a row the Blue Devils had two blocked shots, with Noin and Mia Toure both recording a blocked shot
- Pearson was 5-6 at the free throw line on her way to seven points, while Henry and Na-Kyah Williams were both 3-4 at the stripe
- The Friars had three players in double figures in points, led by Sabou Gueye's 16 points and Brown finished with a 12-point, 14-rebound double-double
- Central recorded 12 offensive rebounds on Monday night
- Six different Blue Devils handed out an assist in the game
