Noin's Career-High Unable to Lift Women's Basketball by Le Moyne
The Central Connecticut women's basketball team fell at home in NEC action, 65-61, at home against Le Moyne on Saturday. Lucia Noin had a career-high 24 points to lead the Blue Devils, while Kiyah Lewis added 14 points. The Dolphins would break a tied game with 1:54 left by scoring seven straight points to hold on for the win.

KEY MOMENTS
- Noin tallied the first points for either team at the 6:02 mark of the opening period and made it 4-0 a minute later after an acrobatic pass from Kiyah Lewis. Kayla Henry gave the Blue Devils a 12-5 lead, beating the buzzer at the end of the quarter.
- Lewis opened the second quarter with a triple on the first possession to give the Blue Devils their largest lead of the game, 15-5. The Dolphins answered with seven consecutive points, capped by a Peyton Dincher three with 5:17 to play in the half to close within 15-12.
- An Ilektra Lykaki layup on the Blue Devils next possession ended a CCSU scoring drought and made the lead 17-12. The Blue Devils pushed their advantage to six on a Noin three-point play with 2:37 to play in the half. Le Moyne answered with another 7-0 run, taking their first lead of the game at 23-22 with 1:21 to play,.
- Out of a Central timeout, Jessica Farrell put Central back on top with a jumper with 1:03 to play and a Lewis block on the other end helped the Blue Devils maintain the advantage. She would convert a pair of free throws, with 31.9 to play in the half, that allowed the Blue Devils to take a 26-25 lead into the locker room.
- Noin scored the first four points of the second-half and pushed the advantage back to five points, 30-25, less than a minute into the period. Le Moyne scored at the 8:36 mark to make the score 30-27 where it remained for 96 seconds before Mia Toure's first basket of the game for the Blue Devils started a 4-0 Central run, that Cierra Pearson made 7-2 with a conventional three-point play with 5:22 to play. Eli Clark drained a three-pointer 24 seconds later to get the Dolphins within 37-32.
- Farrell beat the shot clock out of a media timeout at the 4:37 mark and Toure converted a layup at the 3:40 mark to push the advantage back to nine, 41-32 with 3:40 remaining. The Dolphins scored the next four points before Toure drained a triple with 2:12 to play in the quarter for a 43-36.
- Pearson made the lead 45-38 with a pair of free throws with 1:40 to play in the quarter. Le Moyne scored the final eight points of the quarter, taking a 46-45 lead as the period expired.
- The run expanded to 10-0 at the start of the fourth quarter to give the Dolphins a 48-45 advantage. Lewis put a pause to the run with a jumper at the 8:23 mark. The squads traded baskets over the next possessions until back-to-back scores from the Dolphins made the lead 56-51 with 4:30 to play.
- Farrell drained a short jumper and after a defensive stop, Lewis knocked down a three-pointer to tie the score, 56-56 with 3:24 left in the game.
- Lewis hit two free throws, to tie the score 58-58 with 1:54 remaining but a Le Moyne layup by Peyton Dincher would break the deadlock and open a 7-0 run that proved to be the difference.
